The line graph compares the production of oil and the percentage of spending in China from 1982 to 2006.
Overall, The proportion of oil production was the lowest. By contrast, the number of oil consumption was the highest, during the period shown.
In 1982, at the bottom position was the percentage of oil consumption, at 1,2 million. While the number of oil production accounted for 2 million. In 1998, we can see a significant increase in oil consumption. Oil production increased significantly from 1,5 million to 3 million in 1994, after which this figure rose sharply to 3,5 million in 2002.
It is also noticeable that the oil consumption was 1.5 times higher than of oil production, at 6 million and 3.5 million respectively. The percentage of oil consumption was the highest, which was followed by that of oil production. Whereas, in 2006 saw a rise of 1 million in the percentage of oil production, at around approximately 4 million.
