The percentage of school aged boys in two different age groups who participated in 5 different sports in the UK in 2010 Sports boys 6 11 boys 12 16football 87 78basketball 35

The table gives detailed information about how many boys in two distinct groups play five sports in Great Britain in 2010.

Looking more closely at the table, it is obvious from the data that football was the most popular sport for both age groups, while these boys were not interested in swimming.

According to the chart, boys in two age groups participated in football the most, but the percentage of boys aged 6 to 11 years old was 9 percent more than that of the teenager at 87% and 78% respectively. Surprisingly, there was the same number of percentage's differences between these two groups in cricket. The younger group interested in cricket accounted for 45 percent, whereas the older was just 34 percent. It is interesting to note that swimming, a sport having the least participants, had the same proportion between these two children's groups at 19 percent.

In the rest of sports, the 6 to 11 age group participated in sports higher than did the boys aged 12 to 16 years old. Basketball was played by the younger children at 35 percent, which was 10 percent more than the other group. In rugby, there was a difference of 2% between the two groups at 23% and 21%.
