Overall, it can be seen that soccer was the popular game for boys in New Zealand in the given year, while netball was the favourite game for the girls in the same year.

Almost a quarter of the total boys found soccer interesting in New Zealand and this was the most popular type of game among boys , whereas the girls participated in this sport shows a insignificant figure comparing to boys only 5%. Other sports were the second largest proportion of boys enjoyed, almost a one fifth of the total boys engaged in this category. This follows swimming and cricket with between 10% to 15%. For martial arts,basket ball and tennis almost same percentage of boys found these sports enjoyable almost 10% each. Finally net ball was the least popular game for boys in New Zealand only 1 to 2%.
