The passage describes many significant points about the Sydney Opera House. Firstly, it was selected in more than 230 major architecture designs in 1956. The building is described as unique due to its organic principles. It is perfectly suited to the environment because it has a curved roof and it seems like a sailing ship at full sail on the water situated in Bennelong Point. The design of roof is unique because of new developed design patterns.
Therefore, the lecturer stated that there are additional points to indicate this building as a masterwork for several reasons.
First reason is that the Sydney Opera House reflects the modern era of the architecture. The design contains so imaginative points and it does not reflect any style of architect schools during the building period.
Additionally, the design also reflects the new era of building. The Sydney Opera house opened a new era named the creation of computer age. The computer technology required to create the design of the roof is somewhat like that of High Tech architecture. It contains high standard of engineering and technology.
Finally, the lecturer stated that the building is one of a kind in the sense of architect.
