The article states that humpback wales migrate far distances through the aid of stars and provides three reasons of support. However, the professor avers that the idea may seems fascinating, but not enough sagacious reasons have been illustrated and refutes each of the author’s reasons.

First, the reading claims that the whales have cognitive ability to find their routes through stars. However, the professor cast doubts on this point by saying that they are not far intelligent. He explains that the idea is more considerable in animals like birds and provides an example of duck to illustrate this. Accordingly, this is an intrinsic characteristic and does not have any correlation to intelligence. Moreover, the whales use the ability in the same way as ducks.

Next, the article posits that the wales swim straightforwardly through guidance of stars. The professor contends this point by saying that they never use stars to choose direction. He asserts that the wales have magnetic ability which help them to swim directly. He thinks that magnetic forces are the only characteristics that they implement to immigrate in straight line.

Finally, The passage asserts that humpbacks whales have curious ability in which come to the surface of water for watching stars to discover direction. Nevertheless, the professor refutes this point and explains that the animals like sharks look at prey to find direction. He cast doubts on the aforementioned idea and inquire about the time that stars have been disappeared in the sky. Correspondingly, speculation never comes to fruition since the whales also migrate during the day.
