Rembrandt's painting
The article states that one of Rembrandt painting could not be painted by him and provide three reason of support. However, the professor explains that it's indeed his painting and refutes each of the author's reasons.
First, the reading claims that according to what the woman wears in the painting there is a kind of contrast in the painting which is something Rembrandt will not do because he give a lot of attention to the details. The professor refutes this point by saying that this happened because of adding colors to make the painting more valuable.
Second, the article says that there is an error in the shadow and light of this painting which can't be done by the master of light and shadow Rembrandt . In contrast the professor explains that this is also because of the added color. Consequently, if we removed it, the original light will appear and the woman face will not be in the shadow.
Finally, the reading says that there were a panel of several wood pieces glued together. In fact, it is something Rembrandt will not do it. according to the professor, Rembrandt paint the original painting on one piece of wood and t was the same type of wood of one of his painting.
