The bar chart represents the percentage of men and women in Australia in 2010, divided into six age groups who performed physical activity on regular basis.
It is obvious, that overall percentage of women had been higher than men. However, in the youngest age group men exceeded percentage of women who had trained regularly in 2010, and the oldest group shown almost same results for both gender groups.
The men age group 15 to 24 was the most active age group with 52.8 per cent, when age group 35 to 44 was the lowest one with 39,5 per cent respectively. Across the all other groups of men trends were very similar. The women had been peaking in age group 45 to 54 with 53.3 per cent, but group 55 to 64 had a result little bit lower of 53 per cent respectively.
There is clear from the data showed, that gaps between men and women raised in mid-age groups, where difference was about twelve per cent. However two age groups showed opposite results. In the group 15-24, men was more fit than women with 52.8 per cent, when women had only 47.7 per cent respectively. In the age group over 65 years, both different sex groups showed very similar results with 46.7 per cent for men and 47.1 per cent for women.
