The given table represents the preference of the bus by British passenger for various destinations between 2009 and 2013.
Overall, people who travelled by bus for the shopping in the UK contributed to the largest share, while the least segment of inhabitants preferred the bus for commuting over the course of time.
In the UK, the two-thirds of the occupants went to the shopping by bus at the beginning of the given period. Their percentage significantly dropped to just over 50% in 2013. In 2009, only 5% of the commuters used the bus for their professional activities and hardly anyone preferred bus for work at the end of given period.
The use of a bus for the purpose of visiting friends was just above fifth part of the segment between 2009 and 2013 and slightly increased to 23% in last year. The similar trend was observed among the bus traveller for study and day tour. However, people who travelled by bus for study purpose were 3% lower than the tourists in the UK in the years 2009, 2010 and 2013.
