Higher Education is an important milestone in one's career especially when one wants to fulfill higher ambitions. I want to go abroad for which I’ve been planning now for some years. It was a difficult decision to leave family and friends and go thousands of miles away from home. The thought of being away from home frightens me a lot but I m confident that i would be able to overcome this disadvantage. Modern means have communication has transformed the world into a global village. I won’t like to be away from home but i,ll be able to remedy my homesickness by communicating with my loved ones on the telephone or on the internet. I would surely miss them but I am definitely going to like much more from this experience.

Once I’ve overcome my initial feelings , I believe I will be able to enjoy my stay abroad because the university that im planning for is a great one and I’ll be able to further my knowledge and gain learning in a very advanced facility with all the modern equipment's and methodologies being used. This unique opportunity will surely motivate me, lessen the regret of my separation from my family and fill me with the zeal to realize my dream.

Another thing that I am going to like is the exposure that this opportunity would provide me. It would allow me to socialize with people from different cultures and languages. It would have a wholesome effect on my personality. I would gain the opportunity to sharpen my communication and social skills.

Another thing that i like about going abroad is that it will enable me to gain the confidence tat i lack to some extent in becoming self sufficient. Being with family for a life time has made me dependent on them in many ways. I realize that this is a drawback that I must overcome, but with caring people around, it is almost impossible. I will get some real lifetime experiences that will prepare me better for the world.

Finally, I am looking forward excitedly to the day when i will be able to translate my plan into reality and positively reinforce my education, experience, personality, communicative and social skills.
