The figures present the It and Service Industries' contribution to the GDP of the UK from 1992 and 8 years later. It is clearly seen that both increased at the end of the period but IT was two folds more than that of the other component.
In 1992, a little over 6% was attributed to It sector of the nation while the service industry started with less than 2% of the first component. A year after, both rose with more than 8 percent and over 6% respectively while in 1996, It fell down a little under 8% and services rose by 1%.
The service industry gradually grew over the period but its growth is far lesser compared to IT which sharply increased by 1998 with 12% and further grew in 2000 almost doubling its starting contributions with 15%. At the end of the period, the value of each component is distinctively far from each other.
