Both article and lecture speaks about Endmonstosaurus. The reading states that they migrate to warmer area in the summer and provide several reasons. However, the lecture find it unconvincing and contradicts reading. She refutes each of author's reasons.
First, the article claims that these animal's eating behaviors support migration thesis. These animals migrate to the more warm area to find food in winter since they consume mainly plants. The lecture refutes this point and says summer was warmer today and sun product more light for the plant to grown. She states that there were plent of food even in winter times.
Secondly, the article posits that Like modern animals such as bufallo and caribou, these animals lived in herd due to skeletons relic that is un earthed from same site. Animals that lives in a herd help to navigate each other to migrate. these points also support migration thesis. However, the professor says that living in a herd provide extra protection for preditors. not to migrate.According to the proferssor there are a plant eater which lives in herd in the usa but they do not migrate in winters.
Lastly, ther reading say that these animals capable to migrate long distance. They need to move 5 km per hours for several weeks. They can move 45 km per hours. The Lecturer opposes this point and says they have juveniles and these juveniles are not ready physically. Adult animals in herd does not left them. We also learn that they do not migrate and they survive in winter times
