The bar chart, coupled with the attached table, compares the time spent of each household chores that performed by both sexes in Great Britain. All in all, the data differ significantly.
As shown in the information provided, tasks in kitchen was in a dominant position in time consumption over all household activities, whereby males and females consume 30 minutes and 74 minutes per day respectively. Likewise, the time consumed by women on cleaning and house tidying was quadruple that of men. Noteworthy is the pattern that hours spent by male on gardening and pet care doubled that of female, while women consume twofold time in child-caring compared to men.
Evidently, among the six activities, the minutes daily spent on household maintenance by men and clothing by women are practically identical at 25 minutes. Surprisingly, men spend a meagre 2 hours per day on clothes, washing, ironing and sewing.
Overall, at the time the data was collected, women’s dedication on household was overshadowing their male counterparts.
