Creative artists should always be given the freedom to express their own ideas ( in word, pictures, music or film) in whichever way they wish. There should be no government restrictions on what they to do. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this opinion?
To produce the best output, artists should be allowed to work independently, instead of imposing any restrictions on their creations. The beauty and emotional power of any artistic work emerges only if they are given freedom. However, how effectively they use their skills is always questionable.
Apparently, anyone can be moved by a work of art and when we are touched, we are transported to a new world and it opens our third eye, the inner sense. There lies the ability of artist who can connect the society together. Most of the time,we are untouched by the problem of others. We are often expressing our sympathy or uttering opinions alone,when we come across any social problems, even when we could easily do something to help. This is where art can make a difference, empowering people into action. In 1972, a single photograph by Mr. Nick Ut, the Vietnamese Photographer, put an end to the American war on Vietnam. This shows how the art or the artist can produce positive impact in the society and it also imply the necessity of why they should be allowed to work on their own.
Moving on the other side, how many of the artist really understand the true value of creations and also the impact produced by their work among the people? Do the artist have self-accountability? Do their skills yield only fruitful results? The answer is no. Sometimes the fault lies in the artist,who misuses their freedom and they can trigger people's emotion against any individual or the government through their work, because of their own personal profit or they may be unknowingly tuned to do so. And for this reason, it is the duty of any government to hold the reins.
Taken as a whole, just as there are two sides to a coin, there are two sides to every statement. If the given freedom is used efficiently and if the art has only beneficial impact, then the government interruption is unnecessary. However, the opposite has to executed if there is any mistake. All in all, it is in the hand of creator.
