In this set of materials the reading passage discusses that people today are unwilling for reading the books and this condition is more serious about literature. Less attention to literature can have very harmful effect on society culture in general and also nothing could else provodes the intelletual stimulation that literature dose. While in the listening the professor casts doubts on what is presented in the text and believes that intellectual can stimulate by each kind of high quality materials like physics math matic, biology and ect not only literature.
In addition in the text it is clearly mentioned that people insted of litelature read poorly written with less intellectually stimulation. Morever, insted of novel they are more willing to watching television or music that can decrease the level of culture in general. However, the porfessor claims that it is ture that people have lower willing to read novel but they watch valuable films or musics and songs that these materials can motivate culture more directly.
Finally, the professor disagrees with this idea that people do not buy literature books and also the publishers invest lower in literature and dsupporte serious writers. She says that people unwilling to read litelature because the today litelatures are very difficult to understand and it is not related to publishers atitud.
