The illustrations depicted through the graph and table display the changing patterns of weather across three major cities. The graph points to average monthly temperatures varying in oscillations. The table, on the other hand, shows the difference in total hours of sunshine for the cities of London, New York and Sydney annually.
From the line graph, it can be observed that while London and New York show a rise in monthly temperatures from April to August, Sydney is a stark contrast to this observed trend. As opposed to the two major cities, the average temperatures recorded in Sydney decreased during the first half of the year followed by an increase in the latter half. This trend suggests that the weather patterns of London and New York are different from from Sydney.
However the tabulation of hours of sunshine received by the three cities paints a different picture. While New York and Sydney record higher numbers, London recorded less than half of the daylight in the former cities. This can be attributed to the fact that the highest average temperatures of London is lesser compared to that of New York and Sydney.
It is therefore accurate to assume that though Sydney displays an opposite trend in temperatures, the annual weather patterns is closer to New York than London. To further conclude, New York emerges as the hottest city among the three with high monthly average temperature and maximum annual hours of sunshine.
