The reading describes that collection of the fossils related to the ancient organisms like dinosaurs by the private collectors causes negative influences on both people and scientists and brings three reasons for it. However, professor contradicts that idea by refusing those reasons in the lecture.

First, based on the reading, public suffers from limiting to visit the fossils by the private collectors. While, according to the lecture, this issue exaggerated and, on contrary, the fossils collections are more available by the collector. It explains that the fossils are sold by the collectors so that the institutions like schools and libraries can buy them for showing to the public.

Send, the reading explains that scientists miss out the information on the fossils by limitation them to the collectors. On the contrary, professor discusses that fossils are not access to the scientists because they are the first ones who recognize the value of the fossils. In addition, professor adds if the scientists don’t confirm the value of the fossils by the test and examination, collectors doesn’t place worth on them. Thus, the scientist’s community cannot miss out the information on the life forms, and other subjects in the past.

Finally, in the passage, it is mentioned that the scientific evidence is disappeared by the private collectors. While, based on the reading, although that the details like location and other data might be omitted during discovering, it is better than that they be uncovered.
