Some people think dangerous sports should be banned while some others think peop7le should be free to choose. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Extreme sport such as hiking sking and surfing are becoming more popular in recent times. This has made some people to suggest that it should be banned as it causes severe disability or injury to participants, while some other persons are saying that individuals should be free to make a choice on sport to participate in.

Dangerous sport on one hand can lead to permanent disability and even death in people who indulge in it. Injuries sustained from such sporting activity often lead to long periods of Hospital stay as well as high financial cost of treatment. Additionally a lot of deaths are been reported from car racing and hiking in the media. Thus, making this form of sport unpopular among people who are advocating for a bann.

On the other hand a lot of people derive pleasure in watching or indulging in one form of dangerous sport or the other and some have even gone on to make a lucrative career out of it. In the same vein some countries have been able to generate a lot of income in tourism because of sport like this, as seen in the case of surfing in Hawaii.

In as much as, extreme sport is enjoyed and beneficial economically to some people and countries, it should not be encouraged as it has a negative impact on health and it has raised a lot of safety concerns , so it should be banned.
