In 2005, there were fewer zebras than buffalos with forty zebras and fifty buffalos, and those rose to approximately seventy and eighty in 2007. However, between 2009 and 2011 the number of buffalos increased by more fewer than a hundred, and also the number of zebras decreased fewer than twenty animals in 2009, but the zebra population then increased again to reach about eighty-five in 2011.
During the same period, the amount of rainfall was random condition. In 2005 and 2009, this dropped to 700 millimeters, but in 2007 and 2011 the amount increased rainfall to reach about 1,200 millimeters.
