Televised talent shows have become popular in many societies today. Are these shows a good method finding talented people, or are they just entertainment?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your knowledge or experience.
Philip Phillips, an American Idol’s champ in 2012, may become an example how a televised talent show had succeeded to make him a rich man and become popular in society in the world. The audition was not an easy thing for Phillips, and societies seen that he had practiced and won his talent more than people did.
Elimination process was the best influence that brought viewers to some emotional feelings. For example, Phillip’s supporter could cry when they listened to the judge’s comments, so this situation tended to be huge opportunities for sponsor to invest more money in the same time.
Sponsors have analyzed that human feeling could be perfect things to profit more. In the same time, auditor like Philip Phillips could have opportunity to approve his talent to his fans or families. For example, the episode when Philip Phillips decided as an American idol, his huge supporters, families, societies, or maybe judge’s fans, had extremely curious to watch the judges’ and the world’s choices as the next American Idol. For a TV station, it meant that watchers could be more increase day by day, so money increased, too.
What is more, I think that television station had the highest profitable business with this reality show. Also TV station was so smart, because they could analyze what and how a reality show be a bank to income money, and explore what was watchers’ emotional needed to make they felt homely with the show.
Especially when audition process, at that time, those were thousands viewers waited for judges’ choices from television. They showed how auditions practiced more, cried more, and achieved the golden ticked. I think that this is one of the examples why reality shows have become popular in the world and Indonesia also.
In conclusion, the audition process which TV station had showed from the very beginning to ending episode was the most reliable method, and the best way to look for popular career in the music industry in the same time. I think this is fair enough.
