The provided chart compares average amount of CO2 which was emitted in United Kingdom, Sweden, Italy and Portugal from 1967 to 2007.
Overall, United Kingdom produced the highest amount of CO2 in the mentioned period.
At first, in 1967, United Kingdom CO2 production was about 11 metric tons per person which was the maximum reported number in these 4 figures. Afterwards, this amount remained stable in the first 10 years which was followed by a small fall in the following 30 years. However, the volume of CO2 emission in Portugal originally was roughly 1 as it was the least number compared to other countries. Then, it saw a considerably growth in the given period.
Moreover, Sweden had an upward trend and it made a peaked at just above 10 metric tons in 1977. After this, there was a reduction in CO2 production over the next 30 years so that Sweden and Portugal had the same amount of CO2 emission in 2007. Conversely, the CO2 amount which was produced by Italy approximately doubled between 1967 and 1997. Following this, there was a period of steadiness.
