Write a letter to your local council about a situation which created a lot of dirt on your street. In your letter
- Explain what caused it.
- How is it affecting you and your neighbors?
- Suggest how it can be solved.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I regret to inform you about unhealthy condition in my neighborhood.
I have been living in St. John for many years, and these years my neighborhoods and I have not any problem with our sweepers. Recently, one of our neighborhoods moved on to another place, so they left the heap of dirt and garbage in front of their door. During this time, unfortunately, the sweeper of our area has been absent. As a result, garbage is lying along the road side and it is the best place for cats and dogs and vermin like beetle.
The view of our lane is ugly and unhealthy because of this garbage. That is why I would like to request you to consider my request sympathetically and issue orders to remove this heap of garbage and clean the street. The sweeper must be made punctual and regular.
I will be grateful to you for this act of kindness.
Yours faithfully,
Mari.
