A short glance at the the graph reveals that well over 50 per cent of British and foreign learners achieved a second class degree or higher in seven topics except international law.
Now turning to the detail, international students dominated in major related to engineering and technology. For instance, over 80% of foreign students gained their second class grade on IT as British students were less than 60%. Contrary, local students paid their attention on sociology, art history and literature. The UK students number were higher on international law where three-quarters of British students got second class degree and the largest gap represented between the ratio of local and international students. Interestingly, home and foreign learners got almost equal percentage from accountancy and nursing.
Overall, the figure shows that British students are more successful than international students in the humanities.
