Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Raju, a local resident of Saroj nagar colony. I am writing you this letter to express my displeasure about the news on destruction of our colony library which published today in our local newspaper.
As a matter of fact, there are so many residents of our colony who have an objection to this activity. So on behalf of everyone I want to bring this to your concern that this library has been part of lives from last 70-80 years. We have so many memories with this beautiful place.
Although this may be true that it is in a very bad shape in recent past, but not to mention retired people like my father , uncles etc., are still spending their quality time here. So, instead of demolishing this beautiful place if we can turn this into a newage go to library by modifying roof and racks, computerising system and adding a small home theater room. By doing these changes it will attract children of all age groups and at the same time old people can also use this.
In addition to this we have already discussed about an idea of raising fund in our recent colony board meeting and there are so many people showing their interest. I can understand that this money may not be a big amount, but we can promote this idea to some MNC companies I am sure somebody will help us as part of their corporate social responsibility. Once we do all these changes are completed our library will be a self sufficient revenue generator.
To summarize, local council will have full support of colony board and people in turning our library into a delightful place for everybody. So on behalf of every member of our colony this is my sincere request to disregard the idea of demolishing our library.
