Overall, it can be clearly seen that Washington always had the highest population over the given period. Furthermore, all three counties were similar in terms of experiencing upward trends.
In the year 1940, exactly 75 thousand people were living in Washington, which doubled the figures for Yamhill and Columbia. In the next 30 years, 3 states had witnessed steady increases in the numbers of inhabitants. While there were about 125 thousand of those who settle down in Washington, those of the 2 other states were around 40 thousand.
In 2000, Washington population underwent a significant rise to more than 240 thousand people while the figures for Columbia and Yamhill were much less, which increased to only 90 and 75 thousand respectively.
