Both lecture and passage are about school organization systems. Although author explains concept of school organization system, author gives information about negative sides of this particular system.
Firstly, author accentuates that this system separates students into grades by chronological ages, and author also mentions that usually students embark on studying first grade at the age of 6. Moreover, he asserts that there are totally twelve grades, and students, who don't meet minimum requirements, repeat the year. On the other hand, lecturer utterly refutes system author described by clarifying and underlining some important points.
According to professor's opinion, children might have various mental, social, and physical maturity in the same ages or grades. Furthermore, he states that indeed it ha been substantiated that students have different maturity is same grades, and he declares that it is probably due to system. He emphasizes that actually child who is 6 or 7 years old may not be eligible for primary school, but cild who is 4 or 5 years old can be relevant for primary school.
Finally, lecturer rebuts content of system by claiming certain example. In addition to problems on maturity, they may have some severe problems on making students to repeat the year. For instance, author holds that students who perceives lesson in a very short time, could repeat the year because of student who comprehends certain concepts in a very long time. Thus, author accentuates that actually school organizations aren't that effective, so they have to be altered.
