The above diagrams demonstrate Employment percentages for various positions during 1998 and 2001. The types of positions mentioned above are Full time, Part time, Self-employed, Contract, Casual, Unemployed.
The most popular Job type is Full time in both 1998 and 2001 occupying 37% and 27% respectively. However, Part time job has declined from 27% to 21%. In the year 1998, self-employed type had 19% of the proportion and the figure remained same in 2001. Moreover, there is a significant rise in the Contract based jobs by almost 50%.
Further on, the Casual type position remained static during the both periods. Nevertheless, Unemployed percentage saw an increment from 2% to more than tripled. Although there was a dip in proportion occupied by Part time jobs, there was a substantial decrement in Full time jobs percentage.
To recapitulate, Full time jobs were occupying apex in proportion during the both years, Casual and self-employed had a slight increase in their percent. Unemployment has grown from 2% to 7%.
