1. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The renewable sources of energy, such as sun, wind and water will soon replace the fossil energy such as gas, oil and coal.
In today’s society, the renewable energy assumes an increasingly role in people ‘s life. People tend to have mixed opinion on the issues regarding will the renewable source replace the fossil energy, such as coal and oil? Personally, I strongly agree with the opinion of the fossil energy will disappear in our life soon.
To begin with, the situation of environment in today become more and more serious. A lot of problem such as global warming and energy wasting are coming to the earth, and the the research shows, the fossil energy led to those problem. Thereupon the government found that the sunlight and wind power could be renewable energy to replace a large proportion of fossil energy. For instance, In my country, I usually saw some cars does not have gas vent on the bottom, and my father told me the government produced those electricity car in order to solve the environmental problem and encourage people to save the energy for the future. And now, the situation in the city which is my hometown I lived is the cleanest city with the best air quality, and the government will see how amazing to use the renewable source, thus replace the fossil energy soon.
Furthermore, nowadays, the fossil energy are exploited endlessly, although there are a lot of energy can use , the fossil source is not unlimited. As we know, the fossil energy is non-renewable energy resource, and the study shows, if we do not have fossil energy anymore, the ice in the Antarctica will completely melted by the atmosphere, and the level of sea will increase almost 61 meter, this height can be enough to submerge a lot of city in the world. But how does it happen? when we utilize the fossil energy, the large amount of carbon dioxide will release and spread into the atmosphere. As long as people exploited fossil energy once ,part of the iceberg in the antarctic melt. On the other hand, the renewable energy become an important role on earth. the scientist found the wind, sun and water can produce the power for people used, for example, the sunlight could produce the electricity , and this source is unlimited and safe. So government and technologist produce the station of solar power , wind energy source and water power. And most people believe they will not use the fossil energy anymore in the future.
Based on these two above mentioned reasons, although the fossil energy is cheaper and easier exploit than renewable source, but because it can cause serious global warming, our society is replacing the fossil energy with renewable energy.
