The graphs illustrate the consumption the consumption of fish and various kinds of meat in European country between 1979 and 2004.
Firstly, the consumption of fish from 1979 until around 1980 declined steadily. Then it fluctuated until 1999, when it began to recover, although it still fluctuated until 2004. Secondly, there was consumption of lamb with 150 grams per person per week in 1979, before it fell sharply. From about 1982 it fluctuated until 2004, but overview was downwards.
There was also the consumption of chicken that increased dramatically from early 1979 until about middle of 1981. Then it began to decrease significantly until around 1982. From 1982 onwards, it fluctuated until around 2003, before it began to fall slightly., but the general trend was upwards. The last was beef that drop dramatically from early 1979 until around 1981, when it incline sharply. Then it declined significantly again until 1984, when it began to rise sharply again but only about a year. After that, it fluctuated until 2004, but the general trend was downwards.
In summarise, it could be seen that in 1979, consumer prefer beef than the other meats, but in 2004 the consumption of beef was defeated by the consumption of chicken. It was obvious that in 2004 chicken was more consumed than the other meats.
