The table below shows the numbers of visitors to Ashdown Museum during the year before and the year after it was refurbished. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit, during the same two periods.
The table illustrates the number of people who visited Ashdown Museum in two separate periods, before and after refurbishment. Additionally, the pie charts provide the level of visitors' satisfaction over the two periods surveyed.
Overall, it is clear that the total number of visitors increased significantly after the museum was refurbished. Moreover, the number of visitors who were dissatisfied was taken over by that of whom were satisfied.
There were 74000 visitors coming to Ashdown Museum during the year before its refurbishment; however, the number of visitors experienced a great increase of nearly 20000 people after the museum was renovated.
During the year before refurbishment, 40% of people visiting the museum felt dissatisfied, 10% higher than those found it satisfied; however, the figure for dissatisfied visitors dropped significantly to just 15% while that of satisfied people increased to 40% during the year after refurbishment. Meanwhile, the number of people felt very dissatisfied saw a small drop of 5% over the two periods; whereas the figure for those experiencing the great satisfaction rose to 35%. Finally, only 5% of visitors had no interests in answering the survey over the period shown.
