The first charts shows how energy is used in an average Australian household. the second chart shows the greenhouse gas emission which result from this energy use.
summarise the important by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.
The first pie chart shows how energy is consumed in an average Australian household and the second one shows how many greenhouse gas emissions are generated as a result.
Looking at the first pie chart, heating seems to use the largest amount of energy than others do, accounting for nearly 50%. energy is consumed much more in water heating and other appliances, compared to all, approximately 30% and 15%. also, the difference between how energy is used in refrigeration and lighting is not too big that we’ve seen a variance of about 3 percent . By contrast, cooling is ranked at the bottom of the scale for consuming the least energy just only at around 2%.
it is water heating that generates the most greenhouse gas emissions, with an approximate percentage of 32% and followed by 28% of other appliances. greenhouse gas emissions from refrigeration use shows a slightly difference in percentage to heating, with just 1% minus. Lastly, lighting and cooling generate the least greenhouse gas emissions, under 10%.
We can see a similarity between heating, water heating and other appliances, they all consume the most energy and generate the most greenhouse gas emissions. However, the order is slightly different. if it is heating that has the highest percentage of energy consumption, it is water heating which owns that place in generating green gas emissions. also, if the difference between heating and other appliances in energy use is quite big (about more than 30%) then it just shows a small variance of 1% in the other. lighting and cooling don’t change in the two pie charts, they all have the lowest percentages of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions.
