The graph illustrates the proportion of people who used the Internet in selected countries between 1999 and 2009.
In 1999, the proportion of people using the Internet in the USA was the highest in three countries , about 20%. The figures for Canada and Mexico were lower, at about 10% and 5% respectively. In 2002, both the USA and Canada rose to 40%. And the percentages in these tow counters were the same again in 2005. After 2005, Canada's figure was higher than the USA's, and reached 90% in 2009.
Mexico's percentage was always the lowest in selected period. However, Mexico experienced a growth from 3% to 10% and there was an increase of 30%.
Overall, it is clear that the proportion of people who used Internet increased in each country over the period shown. A much higher percentage of Canadians and Americans had access to in Internet. And Canada saw the fastest growth in Internet usage.
