The bar charts illustrated the weight evaluation of citizen of Charlestown between the two years 2015 and 1955 through five age ranges by four categories underweight, ideal, overweight and obese.
Obviously, the ideal state reduced across almost age ranges except 20-29 in 2015. The most striking feature was the healthy weight percentage significantly decrease from nearly 50% in 1955 to only around 4.5% in 2015. By contrast, the figure of obese issue grew sharply. For the people in 30-39 years old, in 1955, the percentage of this category is 0%, while it rose to 10% in 2015. Especially, 60% of 60-69 years old resident has the obese issue in 2015, in comparison to 1955, this number was smaller than 12 times. The overweight issue also increased across all ages excluding 50-59, from about 10% in 1955 to only 3% in 2015. Similarly, there was a decrease for all groups in term of underweight assessment.
