Units are measured in billions of minutes.
A first glance at the bar chart reveals that all types of telephone calls without local-fixed line have encountered an overall ceiling trend in consumption between 1995 to 2002. Besides, the highest figures on the shown chart are for local-fixed line, but the people living in the uk saw a considerable fluctuation throughout the period shown.
Getting back to the detail, although the growth tediously over the last two year, national and international fixed line's figure climeb steadily from nearly 40 billion to above 60 billion at the end of the examined period. The uk's residents witnessed a significant vacillation in terms of the amout of time using to call from under 1 billion to under 40 billion minutes between 1995 to 2002 and in which time, the used of mobile phones were about nightfold more than the original.
It is explicitly observed that local fixed line calls were the most predominant during the period shown between 1995 and 2002. There was a slight acceleration in the figure and reach a peak about 90 billion in 1999 before dropping abruptly to over 70 billion in the last year.
