You cannot go to a company where you got an offer. Write a letter to the HR supervisor to:
• explain the reason why you decline the offer
• express your gratitude
• explain why you like your current job very much
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you that I have been offered a job of Sr.Planning Engineer in your organization and I am very grateful for that. But I regret that I cannot accept this offer right now.
Let me explain my situation in more detail. I have known your company for decades and understand that your company has very good reputation in market for delivering quality projects on time. I really appreciate that you have considered me a deserving candidate and have express confidence in me for this position in your organization. Honestly it took one week to weigh in my opinion.
At the end of day, I decided to decline this job offer because I am happy with my job roles and responsibilities given by current company which I believe are bit challenging and glad that I have made good achievements in this organization which is giving me an edge to my career growth. The current company has provided me a solid working platform to explore my skills and knowledge.
I am thankful to you for the opportunity you have offered me.However, considering my job satisfaction with my current employer and career growth opportunities, I find no other way but to decline your offer.
Thanks for your kind consideration.
Yours faithfully
Rakesh Soni
