The information about water consumption in 3 purposes by different nations in 2000 are shown in the chart. The figures are given in percentage. Overall, it can be seen that the world water were used mainly in argriculture and domestic was the least. Moreover, most given countries had a minority water comsumption for industrial purpose except Canada.
The marjor use of the world water comsumption is agricultural purpose which was accounted for 70% of total use. This proportion is as twice as much as other purposes which were domestic use and industry use with only 22% and 8% respectively.
Moving to the nations which their argriculture water comsumption level were more than a half, India’s economic wasmainly rely on argriculture resulting in 92% of water used was for agriculture which sum of domestic and industry water consumption was just under one-ten. Another countries in this group is China where 69% of water use was for agriculture. Agriculture water use in China was less than in India for almost a third, while consumption in industry ranked the second in China with 22% of total water usage.
Regarding the other countries where water consumption level in argriculture were not their majority purpose. First and foremost was Canada where their water was used mainly in industry with 80% of total and water used in agriculture was only 8% reversed to India and China. Lastly, the proportion of water used in agriculture and domestic in New Zealand were pretty equal which were 44% and 46% of total water consumption.
