You are interested in enrolling in a cooking class at a local college and would like a friend to come with you.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
• say where and when the class will be held
• give reasons why you think your friend might be interested
• suggest a time and place to meet to discuss the idea
Write at least 150 words.
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear…
Dear Jill,
I want to let you know about this great opportunity for us to learn more about Indonesian cooking.
Our local college has advertised that they are going to introduce a 10 week course on Indonesian cooking. Classes will be held twice a week (Tuesday and Thursday), starting at 6 pm and running for 8 weeks. The first class starts next week and all classes are held at the college, which is just so convenient for us both!
I remember that when we went to Jakarta last year you raved about the food, so I know you’ll be interested in going to these classes. Just imagine what it would be like, being able to cook our own Indonesian meals. There will also be guest chefs from some of Sydney’s top Indonesian restaurants. I can hardly wait! How about you?
Let’s meet to discuss this idea. How about getting together on Friday for dinner? Let me know if you’re free and I’ll make a booking for 7 pm. Indonesian of course!
Love,
Jenny
