One of the graphs provides statistics of criminal convictions rate based on age and gender, while the other one shows percentage of male and female prisoners in a certain time in the UK. It is evident that majority of prisoners in the Brittain were men and the highest criminal conviction rate went for the same gender at that period.
To begin with, the British jail system were dominated by men prisoners with a high percentage of 96%. This figure was also supported by the fact that the criminal conviction rate were generally higher on the man offenders rather than woman, despite their age. In term of age, the friction of young men aged from 20 to 25 convicted to be criminal were the highest among all, accounted for at least 12%. Similarly, the phenomenon also happened to the young women offenders within the same age. The percentage of criminal convictions in women at early 20s were the highest above all which was constituted at around 5%.
Interestingly, the conviction rate of people younger than 20 and older than 25 reveal similar trends. Their figures lowered down to 2 percent for the male offenders, while it decreased gradually to 0% in the female offenders.
