The bar graph depicts the information on the methods of waste disposal used by a European country in the year 2005 to 2008. There are three processes mentioned above i.e. Landfill, Burning and Dumping in the sea.
It can be seen that landfills had a decreasing trend while dumping in the sea had an increasing rate of proportion by the end of 2008.
According to the data, Landfills was the most prefered technique to disposed the waste in the year 2005 with the amount of 2000 million tones of waste. On the other hand, the remaining two procedures had an average ratio which comes at 850 and 1200 million tones respectively. In the next year, the share of Landfill falls down by 500 tones and the Burning procedure raised by 250 tones. Additionally, Dumping in the sea had slight increased of 150 tones in their ratio. However, the first two methods witnessed a drastic reduction in aportion of disposal which stands up at 1200 and 750 millionm tones in the year 2008. In the same year, Dumping in the sea become the highest applied method to disbursed the waste which stays up at 1550 million tones.
To wrap up, the government bodies are intrested in protecting Landfills and pollution create through ashes while Dumping in the sea harms marine life.
