The reading is about amnesia at first age of life. In reading passage discusses that people have ability to learn tremendous amount of information at highest level at first ages but they can’t remember events of life on these period. They tend not remember anything from the first three to five years. A difficulty in this type of study is that one thinks that they remember things, but there is no way to check that remember things actually occurred. They may remember documented events such as celebrating family or birth of sibling. The listening passage adds some information by explaining childhood amnesia and comparing differences of remembering from adult. It was noted that remembering things from child hood is huge difference from adult. Events are retained and organized in the memory of adult, whereas events are random coating in childhood memory. It is due to maturing of hippocampus. Hippocampus is part of brain that ability to organize of information. So, people hippocampus is not mature at 2-3 first age, therefore they have not ability to organized and retained events.
