It is true that in life, we often face the situation that we never wish to happen, and reacting to this condition, some people tend to accept it. However, in my opinion, trying and improving are better than just accepting.
Sometimes, bad situations occur in our life journey, and reacting to them, some people may just accept it and think it. This is a good option, because it will give some positive impact to our life. Consider an example, where a worker has worked hard yet only get minimum wages. But, he choose to accept this situation and always be grateful. As a result, this situation doesn't make him become sad or disappoint, and thus, doesn't lead to low working performance. We can see that behaving like this will produce positive impact to our life. But, in my opinion, by only accepting, we won't think about the way to be someone better, because we are already satisfied with our condition. So, accepting is not enough.
On the other hand, trying and improving are better. Firstly, by trying and improving, we will think about how to develop our skills, thus, will lead to the increase of our performance. A student may always fail on his TOEFL test, but instead of just accepting the fact that he has failed, he always try to improve his score, until finally he is able to reach his target score. Secondly, by trying and improving, people will have more spirit and desire in their life. A worker can just accept being someone with low salary, and living in his "boring" life, because he has nothing to struggle with. But, he choose to improve his skills and try to apply in other better workplaces, so his life is filled with desire to be a better worker, and thus, lead to more enthusiastic life.
In conclusion, people may have different reactions to a bad condition, either by accepting or trying and improving. In my opinion, trying and improving are better because it have some positive advantages to people's life.
