However, the professor explain that four working day schedule does not add value both to employee as well as the company and refutes each of the reading points.
First, the reading claims that four working day reduce the financial burden of the company as the worker are ready to accept reduce payment. However, professor refutes this
point by say that less workers means company need to hire more employees which add up cost, training new employee, their health insurance and plans, ultimately increasing the financial burden of the company.
Second, the reading posit that reducing working days reduces the unemployment rate. The professor opposes this by saying that reduced working days means the company will force their employees to accomplish their five working days task in just four day which again increase their work burden.
Finally, according to the reading, reduce working days prove enough free time which they can send with their family, make more personal free space. However, the professor claims that by doing four working days schedule employees will decrease their job stability, the company will prefer five working days employee for promotion and retain them on financial crises over four working days employees.
