summarize the points made in the lecture about building of a new weapon named burning mirror by Greek nation, being sure to explain how it casts doubt on specific points made in the passage about possibility of building such weapon.
The reading discusses the possibility of using a weapon by Greeks against roman invadors called burning mirror. However, the woman in lecture totally opposes with the points made in the reading to question the chances for fabrication of this technological artifact. Accordingly, she gives three reasons to support her position about the mentioned issue.
First, the article insists that the Greeks in that period of time lacked the ability to create some sophisticated weapon like burning mirror. But, she believes that this notion can not be true, since they had the appropriate knowledge to build plenty of little pecies of shiny coppers used in the final burning mirror. Also, she mentions that they had the ability to join them in a parabolic shape to concentrate sunlight effectively.
Second, the passage regards that so much time would be needed to burn a ship which is made from wood sections. In contrast, the woman in the lecture indicates that the roman ships were not all made up of wooden bodies, but they also contain a sticky chemical substance which was used in the ships different pats. She predicts that Greeks mostly aimed this substance that can be set into fire in less than a minute. So, they could efficiently burn those ships even when they were on the move inside water.
Third, the reading undermines the Greeks intention to create such kind of weapon, as it does not see that as an improvement in their weapon system in comparison with burning arrows that they previously used in multiple occasions. On the other hand, the woman refuse to accept this idea, since she thinks that Greeks could use this burning weapon for catching their enemy by surprise and destroy their ships vastly before they react.
