You have seen an advertisement for a community college that needs teachers for night classes.
Write a letter to the community college. In your letter:
• say which advertisement you are answering
• describe which course(s) you want to teach, and what it/they would be about
• explain why you would be a suitable teacher
Dear Personnel Department - Community college,
I am writing to you in response to an advertisement published on Weekly Newspaper last week. The ad was on finding some teachers who could be in charge of night classes held by your college.
I would like to apply for the accounting position. Suggested tentative course content will include three main sections: accounting standards, their application and common difficulties in practice. Each module is expected to be about 30-hour long and I also attach the proposed detailed agenda for your further references.
My major at university is accounting, and I have just completed a public accountant certificate, which was awarded by CPA Australia. I have worked for a consulting company as an accounting consultant for 5 years. Besides, I have cooperated with an education center to build teaching materials and an offer training service to their students on the above field. Given related knowledge and experiences, it is such an honour that you consider me for the vacancy.
Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Best regards,
Mai
