The given diagram gives information about how electricity is produced from geothermal energy.
Overall, it can be seen that the process involves five different stages. This includes heating and condensing of cold water to generate electricity. The cycle involves both underground and above the ground stages.
First of all, cold water is collected in a chamber above the ground which is then pumped through a 4.5km long underground passage into the injection well in the geothermal zone which consists of hot rocks. At this stage, the hot rocks heat up the water before moving to the production well which is the third stage of the process. Next, the hot water is pumped up through a slightly wider passage than the first passage. This leads to the condenser chamber above the ground. Fourthly, the steam that is produced from the hot water in the condenser is used to power up the turbines by rotating which in turn will power the generator to manufacture electricity that is finally transmitted to the powerlines above the ground.
In summary, it can be seen that the process of producing electricity from geothermal energy begins with the collection of cold water which is heated up in the underground to produce steam and finally to power the generator for electricity production.
