The line graph illustrates’ about four kinds of meat (chicken, beef, lamb, fish) consumed in a European country between 1979 and 2004. The consumption is measured in grams.
Overall, fish was the least popular meat which was consumed less than 70 grams throughout the years. Initially, beef had much demand in the public, but it is Chicken that has become the most sought after meat by 2004.
From the chart, it is evident that, in 1979 beef was consumed at a rate of around 210 grams per person per week which had some considerable fluctuations before falling to over 100 grams per person. Chicken was one of the least preferred meat earlier. But, in no time it crossed lamb in consumption rate which was just below the beef. Popularity of chicken had seen a steady increase before hitting the top of 250 grams per person.
We can also observe that, fish was the least consumed one among all others and had been almost constant below 50 grams except for the earlier years after 1979.
