The pie charts below show units of electricity production by fuel source Australia and France in 1980 and 2000.
The two pie charts indicate the units from electricity production which produce by five different kinds of source from 1980 to 2000 in Australia and France.
The first pie chart shows that the major source of electric came from coal which occupied half of total in 1980. And in 2000, the production of same figure reached in 130 units. Two decades witnessed a 70 units increase which from 100 units to 170 units in Australia. With time goes by, less oil and natural gas are used in electricity production which decreased from 10 to 2 in oil and 20 to 2 in gas. The rest of source was replaced by coal and hydro power.
In France, the situation was totally different. In 1980, natural gas and coal occupied 25 unit each in electricity production. And nuclear power only had 15 units. But after twenty years, the nuclear power became the main source for producing electric power which occupied 126 units. The hydro power and natural gas became the least which only occupied 2 units each.
Overall, France like to use nuclear power as the source for producing electric, while Australia prefer coal with time goes by.
