Your friend had made a plan for you to see a movie together but you can not now join him. You have found another friend who can go instead of you.
Write a letter to your friend. In your friend:
- explain why you cannot go anymore
- say who can go instead or you
- say why this person is a good person to go with
Dear Jay,
Hi, I hope that you and your family are in pink of health. I am writing this letter to apologies for the inconvenience caused by my last-minute refusal to go out with you for a movie this weekend. I knew we had planned everything and we’re really excited to spend quality time after a long time but I sincerely feel sorry for this and hope that you'll forgive me.
Firstly, I would like to tell you that I am running out of time to complete my assignment, which is due to the last two weeks. It is a French assignment which is very necessary for me to complete it this weekend so that I can get full grades in my final exam.
I would like to suggest you that, my colleague Satyam is ready to join you for the movie this weekend as he is free and wants to go out this weekend after a long and tiring day of work. He is a fantastic person and can turn any sad situation into a funnier one with his wits and jokes. Besides this, he is a perfect partner as he had in-depth knowledge about movie and play as he used to take part actively in drama since his school times.
Again, please consider my apology, I would make up for this with a beautiful dinner at my home on next Sunday. I am promising you again that we’ll have a good weekend this time.
Can't wait to see you again. Let’s catch you soon.
Lots of Love,
Milan.
