Dear sir or madam,
I am writing this letter on my delay in joining your organisation. I am expected to report as a senior developer role at Wipro office next monday but unfortunately, I will not be able to join as expected.
Lately last week, I met with an accident and had a fracture in my leg, I was advised by the doctor to have bed rest for a week hence I did not attend the office. As I had not completed the transition for my activities, I had to extend my probationary period in the current job. Though I am still not able to walk properly, managing to go to office and complete the knowledge transfer at the earliest.
With the current situation, I believe that I will be able to join your organisation with a delay of one week. I am sorry that I had to postpone but I think you should be able to understand the situation and do the needful for postponing my joining formalities accordingly.
