playing video games
Our times are changing, nowadays, many stimuli are changing our behavior. As we know, video games are one of these. Although some people may say that playing video games is not a waste of time, and in contrast, it is a good source of entertainment. It is clear to me that playing video games is affecting our children in an unpredictable way. And I have two reasons to support my preference.
First of all, when children are playing video games, their capacity to communicate with others reduces. Therefore they will become a person without social skills, and probably they will have problems to relate with other. For example, my nephew all day is playing video games in his house, and he has only one friend. Furthermore, he does not like to speak with people because he is afraid to say something wrong. On the other hand, when I was young, I did not have video games and spent all day playing with my friends outside. That interaction allowed me to enhance my social skills.
Second, children who spend a lot of time without doing some physical activity will become unhealthy people when they grow up. Many investigations relate some diseases with sedentary people. For instance, children who do not do physical activities are overweight, and they will become obese. It probably that they will get any heart disease.
Finally, playing video games will affect our children profoundly, mainly in social and health issues. However, we can use this kind of entertainment with responsibility and aware of its results. Moreover, it is important to understand the real impact of those video games. In fact, we must continuously lead our children in the right way that allows them to make better decisions.
