<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">With the development and achievement of the
large amounts of methods to produce energy, many people begin to doubt whether
it is correct to produce energy at the cost of sacrificing the environment.
There are many aspects to dwell on when it comes to the issue stated in our
prompt, which one is the better choice for governments to take for the
protection of natural environment? Faced with the tough choice, I personally
think it is better to pass and enforce laws to reduce the pollution produced by
companies and industries.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">In the first place, all companies are eager
to augment the amount of profits under the lowest cost. In contemporary
society, companies and industries are under more and more difficulties to make
profits, that is, in order to maintain their business, some industrial
companies, for example, will definitely choose the cheapest way to generate
energy and exhauste gases which are poisonous to the whole environment. By
legislating, companies and industries are forced to exhaust limited gases,
which can not only decline the pollutants, but also prevent the negative
competition between companies.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">In the second place, people and animals
living in the area where power plants and industries located need to be protected
instead of just moving away. As the development of technology, more and more
electrical devices were produced. In order to support cities with a steady,
sufficient electricity, government inevitably need to construct new companies
to generate energy, thus more and more pollutants will be produced. By pass or
create a new law, companies and industries are forced to exhaust limited gases,
which can not only decline the pollutants, but also prevent the negative
competition between companies.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">Irrefutably, some people might argue that
it is not sagacious to use the method which cannot truly solve the question of
our environment. However, the damage to the environment has formed, all we can
do is to prevent the situation from getting worse and worse. Thus, as far as I
am concerned, I still insist the choice I made—to pass and enforce laws to
reduce the pollution produced by companies and industries.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
